Located in the Courchevel 1850 region of the French Alps, Le Petit Château™ offers an experience like no other.
Regarded as the most expensive ski lodge in the world, every detail of Le Petit Château™ offers exquisite luxury and provides an indulgent escape.
When the owners of Le Petit Château™ approached Swan Creative, they needed a brand creating that encapsulated the decadence of the property.
As the client was looking to enter luxury resort space the first thing, we did was conduct market research. Utilizing the insights found, we worked closely with the client during a brand workshop to define and develop their new brand.
During the brand workshop our team presented several naming concepts. “Le Petit Château” was chosen as the favorite as translated into English it means “little castle”, a fitting name for the grand resort.
Once the identity had been created, our team of designers began working on creating a sleek and sophisticated logo design, that encapsulated the luxe look and feel of the brand.
Taking inspiration from the chateaux roofline, our team created an icon that incorporated the outline of the chalet and the letter marks C and P from the brand name.
Defining the colour palette took this iconic brand mark to the next level, incorporating gold, to enhance the luxury look and feel.
Once complete, the new brand was trademarked in both UK and Europe before being flooded out into wider marketing materials, including bound brochures, social media graphics, staff uniforms and vehicle livery.
After the success of the initial branding project, the team at Swan were pleased to be asked to create a brand identity, for an adjoining property purchased by the owners. They wanted us to create a feminine sister brand that would align the two resorts together.
Using the same process as before, our team came up with the name “Le Petit Palais”, “the little palace” and evolved and expanded the original branding concept to encapsulate the two P’s in the brand name, creating a stand alone identity.
Once the branding phases were complete, we focused on enhancing both brands’ digital presence by creating bespoke websites for each of the properties.
Showcasing that the properties could be rented together as a whole was important to the client, so our team of developers worked to integrate this into the website functionality.
Each website uses stunning lifestyle imagery to showcase the resort experience and incorporates an interactive map that displays the different levels of the properties.
Situated within a well-known ski region we also integrated a live camera feed on to the websites, allowing visitors to have the ability to view the current ski conditions on the slope.
In 2022 the website was re-built in WordPress, modernising the codebase which was over 12 years old. Not only did this enhance the overall user experience, but allowed the client more flexibility to make content updates and integrate plugins for wider marketing campaigns.
We created two stunning world-renowned brands that achieved the mentioned PR mentions in forbes and the Times on Sunday top ten most luxury Chalets in the world. To this date we continue to work with the brand, supporting with marketing and design.
